Marion Schimmelpfennig

I am a passionate autodidact. My browser usually has more than sixty tabs open, and I suspect I have spent a six-figure sum on books over the course of my life.

Born in Ludwigsburg in Baden-Württemberg and raised in the historic town of Markgröningen, I entered the world of marketing after finishing school and stayed there for three decades. As an account director and copywriter for international agencies, I gained deep insight into the food and pharmaceutical industries – material that later found its way into my books.

Since 2013, I have been writing popular science non-fiction, including Giftcocktail Körperpflege and Die Mineralwasser- & Getränke-Mafia. In 2019, my best-known book was also published in Poland.

From 2014 to 2021, I lived and worked in Paraguay. Today, Mallorca is my home, and my cats are my family here. At the moment, I am working on a book about narcissism as well as a children’s book.
